Master Collection CS6 Ready for Win 8?

Hi Guys

I'm using the Master Collection CS6.

 

I've seen pre-release sales are being taken for Win 8. From what I've seen here, although one or two have installed CS6 on a Win 8 machine for testing, there is no official confirmation that the MC is supported on Win 8. Is this right?

 

I'm thinking of upgrading but I'm anxious about buying the upgrade and spending time on installation if some or all of it falls over...

CS4 and Windows 7 64-bit

I have CS4 Design Premium and am looking at buying a new computer that will have Windows 7 64-bit.  My problem is that I can't seem to get a straight answer about whether or not it's compatible.

 

I called Adobe support and asked him directly and he said no, CS4 will not work on Windows 7 64-bit.  After a little more digging I suspect that he was doing what sales people do and was trying to up-sell me to CS5.  I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it, a new computer is expensive enough by itself.  I searched these forums 10 or 12 pages deep and I've seen a few threads about this very thing, some people are having trouble here and there and others got it resolved and it's working fine.

 

Seeing that some people got it working gives me hope, but I don't want to go through a troubleshooting nightmare either.

 

Can someone here set the record straight please?

 

I appreciate any help I can get

CS4 stops working on Windows Vista, after rollback using a restore point

Hey everyone - any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I installed Adobe CS4 Master Collection and it worked wonderfully. No problems at all. I used the application for a few days and all was fine.

A few days later, Vista crashed and I was forced to load a restore point from BEFORE CS4 was installed (I was stupid - I didn't make a restore point after).

After booting, the .exe files for adobe were gone and I couldn't run it. I tried to uninstall, but I couldn't. Eventually using windows uninstaller and Adobe CS4 removal script, I successfully uninstalled it.

The problem is: When I try to install it now, the installer says it cannot install several components (like photoshop, illustrator and more). Adobe must have left something behind, but removal script doesn't find anything. How can I fix this problem and get CS4 back on my computer?

exporting/deploying app preferences from computer to computer...

I need to install 24 CS4 design premium in my workflow. I want to fully adjust preferences in all CS4 applications in one PC and import them to all other CS4 computers. I dont think only color setting, I mean edit/preferences menu. Only for adjusting Acrobat preferences I need 5 min.

I am try copy/replace folders in C:\Documents and Settings\user profile name\Application Data\Adobe but some settings is here, some not.

 

What I can do?

Where to install eLearning Suite 4

Running Vista 64-bit Ultimate

 

Currently have CS3 Master Collection installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe

CS3 MC was installed with all default settings.

 

Just bought eLearning Suite 4 and have not yet installed, but default install shows that it will be installed in C:\Program Files\Adobe

 

Many applications in CS3 MC and eLearning Suite 4 are the same and I do not want different versions of Photoshop, etc.

That is, it makes sense that the newer applications in eLearning Suite 4 replace the older versions in CS3 MC.

 

However, in the future I may upgrade CS3 MC to CS4 MC and I don't want any license problems (conflicts) between CS3 MC/CS4 MC/eLearning Suite 4.

 

Please advise as to how eLearning Suite 4 should be installed such that my separate licenses for these suites are recognized, and at the same time have one integrated Adobe platform, with only one version of each application (e.g., Photoshop CS4 Extended 64-bit).

Upgrade to CS4

I recently upgraded to CS4 from CS2.

 

In Control Panel, under the repair or removed programs heading, I see that both CS2 and CS4 are listed.

 

Should I uninstall CS2?

Hi there,

 

I tried to install some trial versions from the CS4 Master trial dvd.

 

I use Windows 7 64 (msdnaa) and I want to install Adobe CS4 master in my second partition since I have two partitions - c:\ system only, e:\data and programms.

 

Therefore, I did specify the second partition when installing cs4 master (i.e. e:\program files\ as install directory). However, only the 64bit Version of Photoshop gets installed here. Alle other programms I pick from the master collection DVD are installed in c:\prgoram files (x86)\

 

That is very anoying since I do not have suficient space on my c drive to host my cs4 programms there.

 

Is there are workaournd to make sure that all progs get installed in the right spot (e:\program files\)?

Does anyone know when Adobe CS5 will be released and whther it will have any big changes than CS4 as I am eager to hit the checkout button to buy CS4 Design Premium Student Edition.

 

Also, before I buy is there any compatibility issues with Windows 7 x64 and CS4 Design Premium?

How to install CS2 when already have CS PS4, 5, LR2 & Reader 9?

Feb 28, 2010- I had CS2 Premium on my old laptop.  I'd updated to PS 3 and then to PS 4 (standard). Then my LT crashed.  I now have a desktop: Quad processer, 64-bit, 8 GB ram, two hard drives (C: 1 TB and D: 2 TB).

 

I've installed PS 4 & 5, Reader 9 and Lightroom 2, and now find I need InDesign for a newsletter.

 

How can I install all of the CS2 Premium files (except PS) without damaging my current Adobe program files?  CS 2 came on four discs, with two "Extras", so I can't tell which ones have which program.

Deactivation / Activation help needed

Please read my description of the problem and offer suggestions as to how I might proceed . . .

 

My primary computer failed.  It will be replaced by the manufacturer (Dell).  The replacement computer will not arrive for another month or so.  Because the primary computer is inoperable, I cannot deactivate CS4 Master Collection.  There are two copies of CS4 Master Collection on the primary computer: one installed in Vista Ultimate 32-bit and one installed in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.  One computer, two operating systems, two installations.

 

Evidently, Adobe looks at the installation as two computers.

 

To work with Photoshop, Indesign and Dreamweaver while waiting for the replacement computer, I turned to my backup Windows XP computer upon which I also have a copy of CS4 Master Collection installed.  Upon launching any Adobe CS4 application I CS4 launches a "Excuse the interruption, but . . ." window which explains that Adobe records show the Master Collection is already installed on two other computers, the maximum allowed.  Options given are basically to deactivate one of the other computers (which is impossible), purchase an additional serial number, or continue to use the programs for 30 days.

 

Called the Adobe Activation Center.  A year ago the primary machine suffered a hard drive failure.  When the new HD was installed, I received the same notice upon installing CS4 Master Collection.  All I had to do was call the Activation Center, explain the circumstances, and the representative somehow resolved the problem from their end.

 

This time, the representative reported that my serial number is not in their records and after a mutually frustrating short conversation he gave me the telephone number for technical support.  I will call on Monday.  Checked the Adobe website for my history of product registrations.  This serial number for CS4 Master Collection has been registered since 23 October 2008.

 

Is technical support the only resolution path available to me?  What if the technical support representative also reports this serial number is not in their records?  Looking through the Activation FAQs I cannot find a similar circumstance.  One might be there but I have not found it.

 

At the end of my 30 day period, will Adobe automatically deactivate the XP installation or deactivate one of the other installations?  When the replacement computer arrives, how might I best anticipate this same problem when I install the Master Collection once under Windows 7 Ultimate?

 

Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

CS5 Master Collection Trial on Win 7 32bit - 14960(?!) Installation errors

Hi all,

 

been trying to install CS5 Master collection (German language) on Windows 7 enterprise 32bit (English) for the last two days without success.

The first install showed lots of errors - some of which I could have ignored but who is supposed to know that your installers aren't able to leave out 64bit components on 32bit machines? I mean come on - you typically don't present users with errors they are supposed to ignore anyway...

 

So I uninstalled, rebooted, tried again. This time the installer didn't even complete. Uninstalled again, went through the cleaning script several times, deleted all folders in program files\adobe and common files\adobe, checked the registry.

Then tried a clean boot, reinstalled. This time it completed, but with 14000 errors and several components did not install:

ERROR:  - Adobe Flash Builder: Install failed
ERROR:  - Adobe Flash CS5_AdobeMobileExtension_Flash11-mul: Install failed
ERROR:  - Adobe Encore CS5_AdobeEncore5de_DELanguagePack: Install failed

ERROR:  - Adobe Flash CS5_AdobeFlash11-de_DELanguagePack: Install failed
ERROR:  - Adobe Encore CS5: Failed due to Language Pack installation failure
ERROR:  - Adobe Dreamweaver CS5: Failed due to Language Pack installation failure
ERROR:  - Adobe Flash CS5: Failed due to Language Pack installation failure
ERROR:  - Adobe Dreamweaver CS5_AdobeDreamweaver11de_DELanguagePack: Install failed

According to the Adobe Support Advisor Tool most of the errors are cpsid_83574: Read or write file system errors.

Some cpsid_83570: Conflicting processes running while installing, too.

 

German telephone support hasn't been too helpful so far.

I went through all of the troubleshooting steps (except logging on at the local Administrator account - which isn't available since I'm on a domain) I still have no working installation. Given the fact that I will have to install different CS5 suites on more than 20 machins I'm wondering how that's supposed to work out...

 

I've been doing (media) software support for more than 5 years and I've been working with Adobe software for more than 12 years and this clearly is my worst install experience ever. I didn't even know that an installation can go that wrong... and given the state of the forums and given the sheer number of posts on the net it isn't just me...

 

What am I supposed to do now? How can I even remotely think of migrating our machines to CS5 if I can't even install on a clean machine.

Any hints are appreciated.

CS5 Design Premium Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error

Hallo,

 

I've tried to install today CS5 Design Premium. The installation was without any problems BUT I'm NOT able to open a program!!!

 

I always get the error message:

 

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesing CS5\InDesign.exe

 

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

 

Some Utility programs like Bridge or Device Central can be opened but no major application, like InDesign, Photoshop, etc..

 

I've called with the Adobe Technical Support but they had no knowledge of this problem and can't be of help. Although they recommended me a lot of solutions. The support was fine but no solution worked.

 

I use Windows XP SP3, 1TB hard drive, 4 GB RAM, Intel Core2 Quad processor. I use divers utility programs to have always a clear system. I had never such a problem before.

 

Can anyone give me a workable solution?

How much space on disk after installation?

For CS Design Premium 5.5 (and 6 if known), on Windows 7 64-bit:

 

  - if I install all programs, letting both 32-bit and 64-bit versions install

  - after installation is complete

  - how much space will be occupied on the C: drive?

Updates for CS6 version 8 (NOT extended)?

I can't find updates for CS6 version 8 (NOT extended). There are issues:

 

 

  • Application Manager needed to be upgraded, done.
  • When I open the prog and go to Help>Updates it opens my browser to Adobe, not to updates.
  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled the prog.
  • Same issue persists, mainly when using poly lasso tool. The prog won't let me make a full selection, it jumps and makes it's own selection.

 

What a plethora of problems!!  

 

Pls be patient with me as I have a broken brain now, and can't follow complicated instructions like I used to. The simpler, the better! Thanks.

I went to Adobe's help page http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/errors-exit-code-6-exit.html and followed it up to step 3 where I stopped because I couldn't find the AdobeHelp payloads folder. What do I do now?

 

(My computer is MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP 1 Intel Core i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.4 GHz, 4.0GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics)

I have CS4 and need to load it on a Win7 computer. This computer contains sensitive proprietary data on it and cannot be attached to the internet. Is there a way to activate it?

Installer Failed to Initialize

I get the error when I reinstalled CS5.5. It shows "the installer failed to initialize".

Then I downloaded Adobe Support Advisor but that didn't say anything was wrong.

 

 

 

Also, I used Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to clear all the services installed.

Also have un ASC unitstaller and reboot I have ried Diabling UAC and running it as Admin profile.
