I purchased CS4 Design Premium about 7 months ago and have never been able to get it to install. The disks would not show up on my (at that time) brand new computer's DVD player. I was able to install it on a laptop but that is not my main computer. Now that it's dead, I need to install it on my main machine (Windows Vista 32x Home Premium).
After several attempts (and many hours) over the months of trying to get help from Adobe, I am finally somewhat closer....somewhat. I have copied the disks onto an external drive and then copied them to my desktop. I've followed the instructions in kb403963 to the letter (as far as I can tell). I've copied the contents of "disk 2" into the "disk 2" folder inside the "disk 1" folder and into multiple other locations trying to get the installation to finish.
I am getting an error now when disk 1 finishes. It reads, "Please insert Adobe CS4 Design Premium Disk 2 into Drive C:\ to continue installation."
There is no option to browse to the location of Disk 2.
Could someone please give me information on where to put the files (including full path) so that they will be recognized by the install program. If this needs to be relative to the location of Disk 1, please indicate as such.
Thanks,
Clark Gray
