I recently downloaded CS5 to my computer. While working on documents in InDesign I discovered that upon printing, certain fonts (Adobe fonts) were either not printing or the spacing was way off in the printed document. I did some research on the internet (not sure if this was a good idea) and I read to copy the fonts from my computer’s font folder into the InDesign folder on my C Drive. This solved this problem and so far I am not having any problems printing in InDesign.
However, I thought I better check the font in Illustrator and when I ran a test 3 of 4 fonts I tested would not print (again, Adobe fonts are not printing). I have looked through the font folder on my computer and through the font folder for Illustrator and the fonts appear to be there.
I've been working on trying to solve this problem for several days and it’s driving me crazy. Since I encountered some errors in the download process I wonder if certain things were not properly installed or not installed onto my computer at all. Or if when I copied fonts into the InDesign folder I threw something off. Maybe it's just something simple I'm overlooking. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
