I got to a point with malware/viruses where it seemed the best course of action was a system restore to factory settings on my Acer laptop running Windows 7. After the re-install I updated Windows with all the updates that were relevant. I re- installed my copy of MC CS5.5. It installed just fine but the programs will not open. I get a windows error pop up that just says if windows can find the problem they will contact me and that windows is closing the program. Interestingly the one program that will load is the 64 bit version of Photoshop.
Has anyone else run into this or have any thoughts on this. I have searched the boards but am not finding anything useful.
