I get the error when I reinstalled CS5.5. It shows "the installer failed to initialize".
Then I downloaded Adobe Support Advisor but that didn't say anything was wrong.
Also, I used Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to clear all the services installed.
What should I do?

Where can I find the file Photoshop .exe in CS6/Windows7 ? It is not in the usual place.
Does anyone know how to enlarge the ui fonts in photoshop, illustrator, fireworks and flash? I am using microsoft surface pro 3, and the cs6 items i am using right now have very tiny ui text and icons.

I purchased the entire adobe CS6 suite and I really need to update my computer but I'm afraid my adobe software will stop working. I've seen where the cloud apps are compatible, but I haven't seen where this question is answered yet. Can someone please answer this question as Adobe support is impossible to connect with.

OK... since nobody else answered, I first made full a backup (The product I use is at http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/image-for-linux.htm and is reasonably priced) and installed the Win10 upgrade
So far, everything works... with one hiccup and one minor change in how a program works
The homegroup network connection from my wife's computer to the printer connected to my computer was lost, so I had to go to her computer and reinstall the printer over our home network
Acrobat Pro 9 (from CS5) works exactly the same as when I was using Win8.1
Premiere Pro CS6 works the same EXCEPT when I created a new project and went to the SCRATCH DISK settings screen, I had to enter my scratch disk on each line... where before I entered my scratch disk in the first line and the other lines would automatically change... small thing, and I will just have to remember that for the future
Encore CS6 works the same
MS Office 2007 works the same
All of the "small" programs that I have tested work the same
I had previously followed the "God Mode for Win7 and Win8" instructions and it works the same... I do NOT know if doing this in a fresh install of Win10 will work

So far, everything works just as it did before... I don't detect any speed increase, but I have a fairly fast computer (reply #6 for my hardware list in https://forums.adobe.com/message/6536849 from July 2014) so I will come back and report if I find anything that doesn't work

When Win10 first came out I read a LOT of messages about problems, so I held off on upgrading
The current edition 1511 of Win10 finally seems ready to run, so now when someone asks I will still mention that CS6 and earlier are End of Life and the person is on their own if there are problems, but everything I have installed works

There is a PDF that describes how to install and, although, the file names mentioned are not exactly the same as those that are downloaded they appear to correspond and everything downloaded correctly (there is a slight problem with the disk 3 link, with a superfluous backslash at the end but that is easy to get over).
I did as specified, i.e. run the disk 2,3 and extras files to expand the content then I ran the disk 1 file and everything appears to be ok until it gets to the stage of requiring disk 2 and doesn't find it.
Unfortunately, there is no opportunity to point it at the (correct location on the) hard drive (whether it is looking there or at the CD drive I don't know). So, essentially, I am stuck at a message saying "Please insert CD 2 to continue installation". Any ideas?
I can find on the website of adobe the free download for CS2. As I only need photoshop cs2 and illustrator cs2 I get an error after installing when I open Photoshop. The error says I'm using an invalid user name or serial number (which I got from adobe next to the CS2 download link??) and then program closes. It strange because Illustrator cs2 works fine. How is this possible??
Is it true that Creactive suit 2 is still free to download via Adobe?

I can't find anything about this on the forum. Sorry if it has been asked before (I know it's a very basic question), but can anyone tell me how I install the Content DVD in CS4 Web Premium, please? This is the DVD that contains the PDF manuals, Fonts and samples / tutorials for Fireworks and Photoshop.
The first two DVDs (Application 1 and 2) installed automatically, and then went straight to the Registration page without prompting me to insert any further DVDs. All of the software from the first two DVDs seems to have installed correctly.
However, when I insert the third DVD (Content), it will not auto-run. I see ut contains an "autorun.inf" file that references a program called "autoplay.exe", but the latter isn't present on the DVD. Could this be the problem?

Hi, how can you tell what version the software is? On the back of the box there is a serial number and another label which says 90075399 DVS/A, STWD, 3.0, WIN, GEN, WWE and in small numbers 111445. I think that it's full commercial version. Could you please help me out? Thank you

One sales guy I spoke to recommended 1TB (for a desktop model), but that is difficult to find on a laptop.
Can I get by on a laptop with only 500 GB? 750 GB?

I need to get an install file for Photoshop CS6 (not CR) that I can use on a Windows PC that, due to security reasons, does
not have access to the internet. In the past I have been able to save the install file for Photoshop and/or Lightroom on my internet connected PC and then move it to the the target PC on a thumb drive or CD. But now with the CC and the new "Adobe Installer" I can't seem to see how to capture the install file.
Please let me know how to do this.

At present, I have CS6 installed on the C: drive of my Windows 7 workstation. However, this is a relatively small SSD that is now short of space and I want to move CS6 to one of my other disk drives, which are much bigger. The only obvious way to achieve such a move appears to be to uninstall CS6 from its current location and then reinstall it on one of these other drives. However, I don't have any up to date installation disks (I bought CS5.5 back in May 2012 and then received a limited time link to download a free upgrade to CS6 later that same month, after which there have been several online updates).
I could download the current CS6 installation files from the Adobe website but this 4.5GB download would take several hours with my relatively slow broadband link. Is there any other way to move all or part of my current CS6 installation that would avoid the need for this download?

Help, for some reason indesign vanished off my computer and it will not reinstall. I have tried a clean install to no avail. All the other programs install fine just not indesign. I just get a heap of error codes. I'm running windows 8.1, if anyone has any solutions I will be most appreciative. Cheers

I hope all is well. I recently ran into an issue where CS3 would not open after running perfectly for over a year on this same Windows 7 Professional computer.
The first error message stated:
"DDE Server Window: Photoshop.exe - System Error"
"The program can't start because ScCore.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
Then after clicking OK on the window, I got the following error message:
"DDE Server Window: Photoshop.exe - Fatal Application Exit"
"The specified module could not be found. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS3\Client\3.0.0\VersionsCue.dll"
I have followed some of the instructions that I found within this forum such as: removing all Adobe products (I could not locate cab.db), ran the cleaner, disabled my anti-virus and firewall and tried to reinstall CS3. Unfortunately, it does not install properly.
The following are installed:
- Adobe Version Cue CS3 Server
- Shared Components
But the following are not installed:
- Adobe Creative Design Suite 3 Standard - Component install failed
- Adobe Illustrator CS3 - Component install failed
- Adobe InDesign CS3 - Component install failed
- Adobe Photoshop CS3 - Component install failed
I have also tried to install them one at a time without success.
I am at my wits end and need to get these reinstalled as they are used frequently.
Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently trying to activate the creative suite 5.5 design standard with the same serial number on a new computer.
The serial seems to be valid but a info comes up after I click 'proceed' that I need a second compatible product with another valid serial number to complete the activation/validation. When I purchased the suite, an older version of adobe reader pro came with it but it doesn't seem to work on windows 7.

I have just encountered this message with my CS3 Master collection. It has been working fine for me on this computer since 2013. Now it is asking to be uninstalled and reinstalled.
Firstly - yes I have searched. And yes I have tried various CS clean up scripts, registry cleaners, uninstalling everything adobe including flash player and dng codecs, fiddling with flexnet settings, renaming various folders to old mentioned in these posts, and followed in order.
I have done this now about 5 times. From the original DVD's and from fresh downloaded install material. It installs ok and will work for 1 day then it stops again.
So I caved and in the chat window reached out to adobe support who politely told me that they no longer support their products and to ask here.
Does anyone have any idea why this stopped?
More importantly what I can do to get it running again?

All has been fine with my programs - until yesterday. Now, Photoshop opens, but I can only work on RAW files. As soon as I go to the main program, it stops responding. All of the other programs hang on opening.
I have done some web research, but drawn a blank. Can anyone help, please, as I am rather stuck!
After installing Creative Suite Design Premium, I am getting a SwitchBoard.exe-application error at boot up. How do I resolve this?

My problem is that I can't seem to get a straight answer about whether or not it's compatible.
I called Adobe support and asked him directly and he said no, CS4 will not work on Windows 7 64-bit. After a little more digging I suspect that he was doing what sales people do and was trying to up-sell me to CS5. I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it, a new computer is expensive enough by itself. I searched these forums 10 or 12 pages deep and I've seen a few threads about this very thing, some people are having trouble here and there and others got it resolved and it's working fine.
Seeing that some people got it working gives me hope, but I don't want to go through a troubleshooting nightmare either.
Can someone here set the record straight please?

Ok, I'm at my wits end on this one. I've installed and reinstalled this CS2 suite multiple times, tried to find the proper registry keys, pretty much anything i can think of to get this to work, but every time I go to boot up one of the programs in the suite (such as Photoshop) I get an error stating "Your Adobe Photoshop user name, organization, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit". There is only an OK box, and absolutely no way for me to look at the licensing information to see what it's getting hung up on.
I've confirmed everything is correct upon installation. I can't find an e-mail address for Adobe's customer support so I'm asking you guys - what the hell is going on with this software? Anyone fix this before?

Last week I bought a new computer with windows7-64bit-operation system (Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1). The last days I wanted to install my Adobe CS4 DESIGN STANDARD which I bought in July 2009. I started the computer, made the first required windows7-settings (time, ...). As far as I understand with no other users created I am the Administrator and have all rights. In the system settings panel (german Systemsteuerung) there is only one user - that is me (Stefan) with admin-rights.
Starting the installation of CS4 there first is running a system check which gives no hints at all that there would be a problem installing CS4 on this computer. So the installation process continues installing several other Adobe CS4 components. Then the CS4-setup stops saying that the "main" programs (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop both 32- and 64-bit) could not be installed. I have the possibility to continue the installation process (more components have been installed) OR quit the setup (nothing more has been installed).
The first time I started the installation from the original Adobe installation CDs. The second time I followed an instruction from an other forum (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2610193) copying all the installation files into a new folder on the desktop. The result was the same, the installation stopped with the same message (Installation of ... not possible).
Question 1: Does Adobe CS4 DESIGN STANDARD *should* run on a windows 7 64-bit computer OR is this NOT POSSIBLE?
Question 2: What must I do (e.g. install a certain driver/tool/...) prior to the installation of CS4?

I just upgraded from Production Premium CS4 to CS5. Can I install CS5 on two computers, and if not, can I install CS4 on one computer and CS5 on another?
I've had three attempts to install my Master Collection CS5.5 upgrade now - Windows 7 SP1. The first time I realised I left Kaspersky AV running - MC installed but I got an Exit Code 6, uninstalled, then reinstalled with KAV paused - Exit Code 6 again. Then I tried installing in the minimised state - same again though, installed but got an Exit Code 6.

One error seems to relate to the Flash Player plugin, but the vast majority are Adobe Encore CS5.1 Library 5.1.0.0 and are 'ERROR: DS012: LocalizeFile:Localized string not found for locale 'en_GB' and then different bracketed numbers after each.
I have launched and run each application ... not used it as such, but launched and messed about a bit ... superficially they seem to be working.
So the question is, do I ignore these errors and keep uninstalling and reinstalling with whatever things disabled, or do I take the view that if it looks like it's working, it probably is?
This is a new install of Win 7 on a new drive, and other than Lightwave, the MC is the only thing I have installed ... well, and Kasperksy AV 2012.
I've read some other threads and articles on this, and the Adobe help docs from as recently as June this year, so clearly there are problems.
I'm posting the log file, but omitting most of the locale 'en_GB' errors to reduce the length of it.
I'm also uncertain if the log is reporting that the Windows Installer is not working properly - Error 1722 - though again that appears to be the Flash Player plugin problem.

I have installed my CS5 suite under Linux version of VirtualBox running Windows XP 64bit.
Why I run this particular setup - basically I do not have newer version of windows and I can not run WinXP native on this PC, so it was a choice between WINE and Virtual Box.
CS5 works no problem except for the registration. When I try to register I get "Network Error. Please try again later." message.
I did look at Advanced solutions to connection errors with Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications
1) I can see the Access Denied message in my browser (Firefox)
2) My hosts file (in windows) is empty (the Windows XP is freshly installed) but the limited access repair tool keeps crashing:

3) https connections work no problem in my browser
4) the certificate is installed and allowed as required
The firewall on linux is disabled (temporarily) as is on windowsXP (permanently) and all other network communication from within the VirtualBox seems to be without issues - as an example, I was able to authenticate the Windows from within the VirtualBox.
So, is there any way to find out where is the problem? Can I get more information / detail than just the vague "Network Error"?
Also, do I actually need to be bothered with this as I don't really care for the online access?
Alternatively, where/how can I generate/find the offline activation request code or is it only by re-installing the suite?

I own 4 disc Creative Suites 2.0
I installed the program.
All programs open but Photoshop.
I get the Error: "Your Adobe Photoshop user name, organizaiton, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit."
I uninstalled it.
Installed the online free version.
Same error.
Uninstalled that, and reinstalled my version.
Looked for the the database file expressed in solution 4 of the following web page

Can't find the file they are talking about.
Need some help. Don't want to upgrade. Paid a lot of money for this version and I know it inside and out.
Just want to use it only.

I have been searching on Internet about CS5 era adobe programs compatible with WIN 10 or not. And i could not find a proper answer. Now i have installed fresh window 10 on my PC. And here are my results.
I use the whole creative suit 5. Right now i installed After effects, Premier pro, Photoshop and Illustrator. And they are so far working without problem except on thing,
After effects sometimes crashes when i do ram preview and open something else at the same time like google chrome etc. Rest is working fine.

I need to upgrade My NVIDIA GTX 580 and find that there are not many options for upgrading it. All the card models in your recommended listfor cs6 are obsolete or non existing at this time.
Shall i buy one of the cards in your Adobe CC compatibility list and hope that this works better (or at least equal ) than my old GTX 580??

My old Macbook died. I had CS6 installed on it. I've decided to move back to my PC and have purchased CC Apps. I found my non-CS6 fonts on the Mac backup, but not the CS6 fonts. How do I keep from losing all my fonts from my Macbook?
I am about to start on a video archiving project, and need to install my old copy of OnLocation CS3 on a Windows 7, 64-bit machine. It's an older machine I keep around for things like this.
Unfortunately, Adobe's old activation servers have been shut down, so it's no longer possible to activate online or via the phone number.
It's possible to log in and obtain a new serial number and installer download, which includes all the apps EXCEPT for OnLocation CS3: Activation or connection error when starting CS3 or Acrobat 8
I've gone through Adobe support and they just keep pointing me to to that same page above, ignoring the fact that it excludes OnLocation. Sometimes they send me to this page which ends up the same as above when it's done: Resolve "temporary activation expired" error for CS3 and Acrobat 8

Anyone have any ideas, short of looking for some potentially dangerous hack to use the software I legitimately purchased?

I live in England but will be visiting the States next month and am for just one day in San Jose. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to visit Adobe Headquarters? I don't have any specific business or particular reason to go there other than that as an Adobe user and lover I'm curious and wonder if there's anything interesting to see. But would I even get as far as being allowed to Park unless I had a legitimate business reason for being there? Can anybody shed any light on this? Many thanks.
Our school sells the Master Collection for $599 (currently CS5.5). I would like to buy it and the school staff assures me that I'd get the free upgrade to CS6 if I bought it now. However, that price (which they've had for awhile now, and is not listed as a special or sale price for them) seems to be less than the normal educational price for the Master Collection. They say the price will go up when they have CS6 to sell.
The adobe upgrade policy says that the following are invalid: "Receipts showing a product price that is discounted more than 25% off the Adobe retail or educational price (some product exceptions apply)"
What is the regular educational price for the CS5.5 Master Collection and does a purchase now at my school qualify for the free upgrade to CS6 Master Collection when it is released? The price listed on the adobe site for CS6 Master Collection is $799, which would make our school's price 25.03% off that.
I want to buy now but want to be sure to qualify for the discount.
2nd question: if this is eligible for the upgrade, can I buy the Mac version and then switch to the PC version later? Our school is out of stock on the PC collection and won't get any in until May 4th. (which is cutting it very close to cutoff date for eligibility on upgrades).

I have CS3 on both laptop and desktop, but my desktop doesn't work any more so I cant deaktivate CS so now I can't install it on my new desktop.

I've just recently downloaded creative suite 5.5 on my brand new 2016 MacBook pro retina touchbar using BOOTCAMP. The fonts look terrible and pixelated. Any suggestions on drivers/updates/settings? Anti aliasing is already turned on and resolution is set at the recommended level. I have read that CS 6 cloud users are all now compatible with retina models so I just want to
1) to DOUBLE confirm that CS 6 is indeed compatible with the new Q4 retina MacBook pros and
2) Confirm that there is no available fix for this problem in CS 5.5. I only use the suite for relatively simple tasks and I'm hoping I don't have to upgrade and pay a subscription fee in order to keep using the product on the retina display.

I had to do a System Recovery on Windows 7 and that led to me losing almost all of CS4 that I had recently installed. I tried to reinstall the missing programs but it wouldn't let me. I figured I needed to uninstall whatever was remaining and then try to reinstall everything again. I went through the whole process but in the end it said that it was uninstalled with errors and that I would have to restart and try again. I restarted and I went into Control Panel => Programs to uninstall. CS4 was still listed in the Programs List. I selected it and it eventually lead me the a window that said I had to select the products that I wanted to uninstall. Unfortunately there was nothing to select. If anyone knows how I can fix this, I would really appreciate it! This thing is driving me nuts!!!
I've been using CS3 on my Windows 7 machine for a few months now but then my programs wouldn't open. After trying a few things without success, I decided to uninstall and then re-install it.
The disc runs and it shows that each of the programs is installed but at the bottom it says "CS3 premium didn't install." Whenever I try to open one of the programs, I get a message saying the license has expired.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so, how did you resolve it? I've tried all of the suggestions in the knowledge base, but nothing has worked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

after purchasing Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended about a year ago, I now decided to buy the CS6 Design & Web Premium (S&T Version). But I only found a link for the Southeast Asia Shop (Adobe Education Store - Southeast Asia - Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium Student and Teacher Edition). But when I try to change the country to Germany I'm getting redirected to the home page and there is no way to get back to the Education Store page with CS6 Suites.
But on the german website it says, that it is still possible to buy the Suite. I just want to know how and where.
I hope there's someone who could help me,

I purchased the full version of CS5 and received a product code to get he serial number. I bought a new computer and want to install it, but following the instructions takes you to a website that says
