Catastrophic Failure Licensing System

Hi. My OS is Windows Vista. A couple of years ago I purchased CS3 Design Premium. I've only had to reinstall it about 3 times; the disk in in perfect condition. But for some reason, when I go to reinstall all of the products, only two from the disk are successfully installed. The first thing I tried, after receiving the notice that my license was no longer working, was completely uninstalling everything, then doing the recommended "clean" uninstall, downloading a link from this site. Followed instructions about deleting all adobe products, etc. Then tried to reinstall and only two products installed, nothing usable(Photoshop, etc). I repeated this multiple times, variating procedures, but nothing fixed the issues. Then I did a system restore and am now trying to solve this problem without uninstalling(because reinstalling fails), and I get this message that the licensing system has failed catastrophically. I'm not sure if it will help, but I copied the amt file and am posting the report below. Application Manager error: "The update server is not responding."

With every attempt to check for updates for Creative Suite 5, the Application Manager immediately responds with an error: "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or the internet or firewall setting may be incorrect. Please try again later." My last successful check for updates was on 3/27/2012.

 

I have not added any restrictions since 3/27. I do not block any outgoing communications within any of my firewalls. All other communications through all firewalls are functioning normally.

 

Is there a way to verify if the update server is really down?

 

Perhaps the server address has changed. It wouldn't be the first time a non-thinking person had this notion: "Here's what we'll do, change the update server's IP address and then roll out the new address in the next update."

Multi-user license on creative cloud

We have multi licenses of the creative cloud on the same user name but each time a user signs in, Adobe forces the other active users to be signed off. Is there a work around for this issue? (See the screen shot attached).

CS 2 macht Probleme

Hallo,

nachdem mich der Support hierhin verwiesen hat, schreibe ich mal hier mein Problem in der Hoffnung, dass mir jemand helfen kann.

 

Ich habe die Creative Suite CS2 auf Windows 7. Nachdem meine Festplatte den Geist aufgegeben hat, wollte ich es neu installieren, aber es ging nicht. Hab mich dann schlau gemacht und CS2 von der Adobe Download-Seite geladen.

Erst das originale deinstalliert und dann das neue installiert. Mit dem Key, der auf der Adobe-Seite angegeben wurde.

 

Wenn ich jetzt Photoshop aufrufen möchte, kommt immer folgende Meldung:

"Ihre Benutzername, Ihre Firma oder Seriennummer für APS fehlt oder ist ungültig.

Die Anwendung kann nicht weiter ausgeführt werden und wird jetzt beendet."

 

Es ist alles richtig und auch in meinem Account bei Adobe steht drin, dass ich eine CS2 ordnungsgemäß habe und jetzt neu installiert mit der neuen Nummer.

 

Hat jemand eine Idee, was ich machen kann, damit ich wieder damit arbeiten kann?

Hello!

 

I have read a lot of articles of dealing with the installation problem, and tried the steps described in here:

Errors "Exit Code: 6," "Exit Code: 7" | CS5, CS5.5

 

Also a deinstallation of Flash and the Adobe community help haven't solved my problem. The installer crashes right after starting the installation.

We are using Cs5 master collection in a classroom environment but today all elements of the collection will no longer run they stop with error 131:4.

Even a new setup now gives the same error.

Does anyone know of any registry tweaks to resolve this?

I recently purchased a new laptop (OS: Windows 7 Enterprise) and installed CS5 on it.  All of the applications work well except for Photoshop. 


At first Photoshop would load correctly but crash when I tried to Save As.  I deleted the preference file upon startup and that fixed the problem.  Now every time I open more than one image in photoshop, my screen goes completely black. Eventually the screen come back on, with the error that my AMD driver stopped responding and recovered, but now Photoshop is frozen and I have to close Photoshop through the Task Manager.  Again I deleted the preference file and that seemed to fix the problem temporary but the next time I opened Photoshop, I encountered the exact same problem.  My video card is AMD FirePro M6100. 


My question is do I need to delete the preference file every time I start Photoshop?  Isn't there a more permanent solution?  Or is this problem due to another issue?

I bought the DVD on Ebay, Adobe CS6 master collection, but it was a pirated copy with the instructions for hacking. ebay experts asked for confirmation from Adobe experts is that a pirate copy of software and then they make refund (seller not answer). I appealed to the Adobe chat but I did not answer. Last hope this forum. I have a picture of DVDs and photo instructions and everything else. But how to make an official confirmation that the DVD is not a license. Help if you can.

System drive: Maxtor 7200rpm 300GB drive (over 200GB available)

I performed yet another complete removal of *ALL* Adobe software from my system. I ran the add/remove for CS3, Flash Player, and Adobe Reader, follow by a reboot. I then ran CS3clean, first at 1, followed by a reboot, cleared the log file, then ran CS3clean again, this time at level 2, followed by a reboot. I then manually removed any remaining Adobe folders and files (CSclean did miss some). I then ran CS3clean yet again, at level 3 (hidden option, as mentioned in the adobe kb article) and then rebooted. At that point not a single installed Adobe file was retained on my computer, so far as I, or an Explorer search could determine. No registry information of any Adobe installs remained. I rebooted again (I always do, just to be sure when dealing with installation issues).

I made sure that no firewall, antivirus or other non-essential background tasks were running. I began the installation of Adobe CS3 Production Premium from the DVDs. The entire installation, from serial number entry, start to finish, ran without incident.

I then rebooted, and before launching any Adobe software, I once again made sure no friewall or antivirus programs were running, and all non-essential programs exited.

I launched Photoshop CS3 and was presented with the activation procedure which, according to the software worked normally and activation was successful. Photoshop then proceeded to continue its loading procedure at which point it crashed at the same place as it had prior to this entire process.

The error, reported as Code: 0xc0000005 was exactly the same, and the point at which it was thrown up (during the loading phase when "Initializing Palettes..." appears on the splash screen) was also exactly the same.

So, at this point, I am at a complete loss as to how, or why, this is possible. The CS3 applications all worked at one point, and then suddenly and completely failed. I have the same video card drivers as I did before the problem arose, and according to all DirectX diags and other system diagnostics, nothing seems to be amiss. All other non-Adobe programs, services and drivers function properly and perform exceedingly well. My syste and its hardware are all within spec for CS3, and although my CPU is an AMD dual-core, it did work more than adequately for the short duration during which CS3 operated normally, so I don't believe incompatible hardware is an issue.

All drivers currently installed for motherboard, chipset, sound and other hardware work normally and have not been changed since before the purchase and initial install of CS3, and all tests performed subsequently show no failures or performance issues.

I have followed all suggestions and instructions made available by Adobe regarding the removal and re-installation of CS3 and yet this problem persists. My last and final recourse, so far as I am aware is to perform a low-level format on my system drive (C:) and then reinstall Windows, drivers and CS3. This seems extremely harsh given that the problem has not been determined and I am concerned that even after all of that, the problem could crop up again.

Is there any other solution? If not, is it legal to re-sell my copy of CS3 once it has been deactivated, and can I "cancel" my registration as an Adobe CS3 owner? If I can't use it I would like to recoup at least some of my investment, if possible.

If any additional information regarding my system, drivers, software or diagnostics is required I will provide it. I have tried to include only what I thought was necessary.

Got the following message entitled "AMT Sybsystem Failure."

"The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support."

Okay. That's a horrible message. Whoever wrote it should be fired. What a moron. How about identifying the software involved, first?

So, I googled and found it's a CS3 error. Who knew? I didn't even have any CS3 applications open. Again, can the idiot who wrote that error message.

Then, I don't have any support options. So, here I am. I noted a thread about this message in the Mac forum, but didn't post there because I'm on Windows. I looked at this KB article, but none of it pertains to me:

According to the KB article, "This issue has several possible causes:"

* You moved the application out of the folder to which it was installed.

--No. I did not do that.

* You ran a restore on your system (Windows XP)

--No. Not that, either.

* You don't have user access to a necessary component of the application due to permissions restrictions or configuration of the system or application

--No. I have permissions. Never got the error before today. My permissions are the same as they have always been. Not running any CS3 apps at the time of the error, anyway.

* The FLEXnet Licensing Service has been stopped and is disabled (Windows)

--No. It is running and was when I got the error.

* You do not have permission to access the contents of the Flexnet Publisher folder (Mac OS)

--No. I'm using Windows XP SP3.

Finally, yes, I have plenty of hard drive space, minimum RAM--but enough (2GB)--and until today, my license of Adobe CS3 has been running just fine.

Any ideas on how to deal with this? (Aside from firing the idiot who wrote the error message.)

Licensing for this product has stopped working & Components install failed

I have CS3 Web Premium and it suddenly stopped working the other day. Message came up when I opened programs... "Licensing for this product has stopped working: You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or adobe customer support for help."

Well I have been uninstalling and installing and now I can't install any of the main programs. It install Acrobat, but nothing else. Error message in installer "Components istall failed" (or similar).

This is a nightmare... I'm unemployed and trying to find work. I'm working on a portfolio of web/graphics work and now I can't finish it... I can use Notepad for coding this is a slow process and I now can't do any graphics work.

I have spent a fortune on CS3 Suite and it is now useless.

Surely Adobe have a fix for this problem... anyone worked this out yet?

How do I successfully uninstall CS4 from windows 7?

I had to do a System Recovery on Windows 7 and that led to me losing almost all of CS4 that I had recently installed. I tried to reinstall the missing programs but it wouldn't let me.  I figured I needed to uninstall whatever was remaining and then try to reinstall everything again.  I went through the whole process but in the end it said that it was uninstalled with errors and that I would have to restart and try again. I restarted and I went into Control Panel => Programs to uninstall. CS4 was still listed in the Programs List. I selected it and it eventually lead me the a window that said I had to select the products that I wanted to uninstall. Unfortunately there was nothing to select. If anyone knows how I can fix this, I would really appreciate it! This thing is driving me nuts!!!

Kumar apearently still assumed I was getting an error or was in the process of installing... but I entered my serial# as told and problem disapeared for a little while and A couple of days after that I got an interesting trial message after a system restart when I opened Premere:

At that point I Compleatly uninstalled ALL adobe products. Repeated step above and removed any referances to Adobe products that I could find in the registry.

 

I then Installed my old CS4 suite I upgraded from and then installed the CS6 Master suite upgrade from the disks I purchased directly from Adobe.

 

Everything worked great for about a week then...


I was greeted with nag screen again today (after a restart when I opened photoshop) informing me that trial expired (-1 days left)

 

Is there a fix for this?

I need to uninstall CS2 from my operating system Windows 7 because Windows 7 does not support CS2.  I can not do it via Control Panel.  I get a warning sign that says....The install could not start because of the following reasons:  Missing or invalid Personalization Information.  Missing resources library.  How do I uninstall this program.  I need to reinstall Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, but want the CS2 off my computer first.

For reference, I have a Lenovo X200 Tablet PC, running Windows 7 and Creative Suite 3 Design Standard.

 

Last Friday, 9/23, I tried opening Illustrator and received an error message that told me to uninstall then reinstall the program. I received the same error message with InDesign and Photoshop. All three programs had, up to this point, been working fine.

 

I uninstalled CS3, restarted my computer, and attempted to reinstall. The shared components installed fine, but Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Version Cue, etc. did not install, and gave me the "Component install failed" error message.

 

I went through the list on this Support page.

I tried all of the Solutions except the ones based upon Windows Event Viewer error numbers (as my Event Viewer didn't show any of the listed numbers).

 

I didn't install any updates or download anything between the last time CS3 worked and when it failed on Friday, so I'm not sure what caused it to fail in the first place.

 

If anyone has any suggestions or advice, I'd appreciate it.

I tried to install Adobe CS4 Design Premium (upgrade) to my system. It will not install because I keep getting an error message that Internet Explorer is running. However, Internet Explorer is NOT running. I called customer support, but did not get the problem fixed. I even uninstalled Microsoft Internet Explorer, but that did not fix the problem. I am about ready to send this thing back.

Hi,
This error occurs every time i open any of the Creative Suite 3 programs.
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall a couple of times and it is still happening, I've called technical support and was on the phone with them for several hours today and they just told me to uninstall and reinstall and this is NO help. I need someone who will really help me figure out what the issues is and help fix it.
